"Afterglow" "Yearns for an exalted state". Michael Hoppé's droning keyboard pads lay the ground for cellist Martin Tillmann and Wheater. Tillmann in particular, carves the emotional arc of "Afterglow", his cello echoing in curvaceous melodies, while Wheater's flutes call out across some desert of the soul. You don't listen to "Afterglow", you wallow in it. Billboard June 26, 1999
